5th grade featured Artist: Chuck Close

5th grade begins studying the Essential Question: How can we use art to see the invisible? By studying Chuck Close and his artistic process.

Chuck Close takes photos and uses a grid to enlarge them by painting.

This week: students are doing a collaborative oil pastel piece inspired by Chuck Close's work. Then, we will begin to figure out the process Chuck Close uses so we can replicate it during class.
